The Tata Safari Group’s Monsoon Drive 2024 to Coorg was an adventure that truly lived up to its reputation as one of the most anticipated family events of the year. With 21 members, 17 cars, and 58 family members joining the 3-day, 2-night getaway, this year’s drive offered the perfect blend of excitement, relaxation, and bonding.

Nestled in the serene Magnolia Resorts, surrounded by a sprawling 70-acre colonial coffee plantation, participants experienced the bliss of the rainy, misty weather amidst the lush green landscape. The journey kicked off with a hearty breakfast and flag-off at Hotel Indradhanush on Mysuru Road, setting the tone for the exciting days ahead. The drive to Coorg was filled with anticipation, as members eagerly awaited the scenic beauty and tranquility that awaited them.

Once at Magnolia Resorts, the group indulged in nature walks, explored nearby waterfalls, and savored peaceful evenings that provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The resort’s serene ambiance, coupled with the cool monsoon breeze, created an atmosphere of relaxation and rejuvenation. The families bonded over delicious meals at the resort’s restaurants, while the children enjoyed their time at the club house, making the most of the amenities.

Friday was packed with fun and adventure. The resort team conducted an engaging treasure hunt that had everyone in the group participating with enthusiasm. Families and friends teamed up, exploring the lush surroundings in search of hidden treasures, making for an exciting and memorable experience.

Later that evening, the group bonded over games and activities organized by our enthusiastic members, Narain and Archana. The laughter and camaraderie shared during these moments added an extra layer of joy to the trip.

On the return journey, the group made a delightful pit-stop at Handpicked by TATA, a charming coffee shop, where they savored estate-fresh coffee and quick bites. This pause offered a perfect moment to reflect on the memories made and the friendships strengthened during the trip.

As the drive concluded, each participant carried home not just the memories but also a special hamper filled with the rich flavors of Coorg – coffee powder, pepper, cinnamon, and honey – a token of the serene beauty and warmth of the region.
